China Natural Rubber Association pays homage to "China's First Rubber Tree"

In order to carry forward the spirit of the older generation of rubber growers who are fearless and brave to explore, practice the original intention, assume the mission of maintaining the safe supply of natural rubber resources, establish the safety concept of natural rubber resources, and inherit China's rubber industry culture, in January 2024, China Natural Rubber Association organized some comrades to go to Yingjiang County, Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Accompanied by Luo Xiangzhao, secretary of Yingjiang Farm, they visited Fenghuang Mountain in Yingjiang County to admire the first successful rubber tree introduced in China.

It is understood that in 1904, Mr. Dao Anren, the predecessor of the Dai democratic revolution, brought back 8,000 rubber tree seeds from Malaysia, and personally planted them in Yingjiang County, after more than 120 years of vicissitudes of wind and rain, only one is still standing on the Phoenix Mountain. At present, this rubber tree is known as "China's rubber mother tree" and "China's first rubber tree", it is not only the height of the tree, the crown is large, but also the trunk is thick, known as "the living monument of Chinese rubber history".

Through this event, the comrades present were deeply educated and encouraged, and said that they would take this event as an opportunity, based on their positions, take the initiative to actively participate in the promotion of China's natural rubber resources safety and cultural construction work, and constantly promote the high-quality development of China's natural rubber industry, while calling on all rubber practitioners to join hands to create a brilliant future for China's natural rubber industry!
